moolarben coal complex infrastructure
complex infrastructure
In 2019 – 2020, Stripes Engineering carried out a wide range of construction activities to facilitate a new water treatment plant at Moolarben Coal Complex. This infrastructure included the supply and installation of over 20km of HDPE pipe and fittings, up to 710mm diameter, installation of various valves and flowmeters, trenching, structural pipe supports, earthworks and concrete works. This project also included the supply and installation of 2 x 500KL water tanks and associated infrastructure.
The mechanical infrastructure allowed for water supply to the treatment plant, as well as the transfer of treated water, waste water, and mine water from the treatment plant to various locations on the mine site.
Stripes also relocated and modified existing pipelines, as well as pressure tested pipelines to Australian Standards as part of the project scope. Full quality assurance with weld record sheets and ITP’s were provided to the client upon completion.
